PEDRO ARMESTRE. A Rasela, Verín. Ourense.
He started his career in 1993 in the agency Europa Press, the agency Cover, El Mundo and other media. Between 2003 and 2016 his images are distributed by the International agency France Presse and other distribution channels, thanks to which his photograph has been published in newspapers and magazines all over the world.
For 25 years, he has had agreements with organizations dedicated to the preservation of the Environment and the defense of Human Rights, and has developed multiple photographic and creative projects for them.
Pedro Armestre has received various awards and recognitions for his coverage, including the King of Spain Prize for journalism, the Ortega y Gasset Prize, Pictures of the Year International, etc.
Four elements. Basic principles of life is his most intimate photograph. A life project that, through his personal prism, reveals the interaction of human beings with the Environment, a relationship that is often disproportionate, in which man has generated modifications in the landscape and, on occasions, has provoked an imbalance that endangers his life.
