Actualmente vive en Nueva Delhi, India. Cubriendo las últimas noticias en el sudeste asiático y sigue trabajando en sus trabajos personales. Actualmente representado por la agencia italiana: Contrasto.
Su trabajo ha sido publicado en diferentes revistas como TIME, Sunday Times Magazine, Forbes, El País, entre otros.
Ha sido seleccionado en Descubrimientos PhotoEspaña, Photodays festival Rovinj (Croacia), Festival Lumix para jóvenes fotoperiodistas ( Hannover, Alemania).
Cuenta con dos menciones de honor en IPA ( Premio internacional de fotografía, Los Angeles-EEUU)

La religión mueve masas. Es una conciencia compartida, expresada a través de rituales y símbolos, conservados por la tradición, y cada una reclama su derecho sobre la verdad.
“Los creyentes” es un trabajo documental realizado por el fotógrafo Jordi Pizarro, en su búsqueda para dar respuesta a la pregunta, ¿por qué cree la gente?, y cómo la religión, a través de los siglos, ha sido usada para narrar el propósito de nuestra existencia.
Como parte de un proyecto en curso y a largo plazo, “Los creyentes” explora las comunidades religiosas en 10 países de 4 continentes. En su obra, Jordi Pizarro busca documentar y comprender cómo se forman las comunidades a través de la religión, o lo contrario, como se refuerzan las creencias a través de la preservación de las tradiciones y la fe se fortalece a través de la realización de rituales, compartiendo una misma interpretación de la verdad.
Jordi Pizarro también se propone demostrar que la fe y la práctica religiosa están intrínsecamente ligadas a la vida humana. Que las prácticas culturales de la fe son diferentes, pero la búsqueda de la verdad sigue siendo común a todos.
“Los creyentes” también se centra en los grupos minoritarios y las religiones que existen dentro de una sociedad de creyentes de una fe diferente. Se centra en cómo las comunidades pueden aislarse o ser aisladas, y que la fe sirve para fortalecer a las personas que guardan sus rituales y el derecho de llevarlos a cabo con feroz convicción y pasión.
Este trabajo es una peregrinación en si misma, para desentrañar la complejidad de la fe humana. “Los creyentes” trata de capturar el momento de la «verdad» – el momento de la fe absoluta, que lleva a los individuos a soportar el sufrimiento físico, creyendo con certeza absoluta en lo que no pueden ver, e infligiéndose el dolor y el sacrificio sobre sí mismos, y en el más extremo, estar dispuestos a morir por su fe, matando e incluso haciendo la guerra.

The Believers is a body of documentary work by photographer Jordi Pizarro, in his quest to explore the question why do people believe, and how has religion, through the ages, been used to narrate the purpose of our existence.
As part of an on-going long-term project, The Believers explores religious communities in 10 countries across 4 continents. In his work, Jordi Pizarro seeks to document and understand how communities are formed through religion, or the contrary; how beliefs are reinforced through preserving traditions; and faith is strengthened through performing rituals and sharing a common interpretation of truth.
Jordi Pizarro also sets out to demonstrate that faith, and the practice of religion is intrinsically linked to human life. That cultural practice of faith differs, but the pursuit for truth remains common to all.
The Believers also focuses on minority groups and religions that exist within a society of believers of a different faith. It looks at how communities may isolate themselves, or be isolated, and how faith serves to strengthen and counsel individuals who guard their rituals and the right to perform them with fierce conviction and passion.
This body of work is a pilgrimage in its own right, to unravel the complexity of human faith. The Believers sets out to capture the moment “truth” – the moment of absolute faith that leads individuals to endure physical suffering; to believe with absolute certainty in that which they cannot see; to inflict pain and sacrifice upon themselves; and at the most extreme, be prepared to die for their faith, to kill and even to wage war.
