Humanist, freelance photographer and member of Gea Photowords, Javier Arcenillas develops with his camera humanitarian essays. His reports have been published in numerous national and international media such as Time, or Der Spiegel. Winner of many international awards, including the World Photography of the Year, the Luis Valtueña Humanitarian Photography Award or KODAK Joung Photographer among others, in recent years he works on Latin America situation and he is currently developing new paths parallel to traditional journalism to promote his projects. Furthermore, he devotes his time to the elaboration of Audiovisual Projects shared with diplomatic tasks.
In 2016 PhotOn Festival joins the Festival della Fotografia Etica to create a promotional prize for Spanish photojournalists. Javier Arcenillas was the deserved winner of this award with his project LatidoAmérica. Which led him to exhibit in Lodi (Italy) and now in Photon Festival.
