Estela de Castro (Madrid 1978)
Photographer. She started her photography studies when she was 15 years old at “Look” School in Madrid. In 2012 she obtained a scholarship at the Seminar of Photography and Journalism of the Fundación Santa María de Albarracín. She participated in the official section of Photoespaña in 2014 in the Sala Tabacalera with her project “Photographers” also exhibited in the CAF (Almería) in the Festival Revela-t (Barcelona) and in the Festival Granada Eclipsa (Granada). His series “Zoocosis” has been exhibited in Animal Capital in the Casa Encendida (Madrid), in the Festival Revela-t (Barcelona) in Valencia Animal Capital in the Centre del Carmen (Valencia) and in Alicante Animal Capital in the space Las Cigarreras (Alicante). In 2017 she creates and directs the project PHES, ” Solidary Spanish Photography “. In recent years she has worked as a freelance photographer for magazines such as Esquire, Forbes and Tapas, and for the group Planeta doing editorial portraits. In 2014 she began her work as a teacher at the Efti School of Photography and at the TAI University Arts Centre in Madrid. Since 2015 she has given numerous portrait workshops nationwide and has participated in various festivals as a speaker.
