What is going on in the mind of a journalist who is about to publish a news that knows is a grenade ready to explode? In Mexico, the investigative journalism can lead to death threats. Reporter tells the story of a journalist and his colleagues inside of a weekly newspaper dedicated to publishing the news as they are, in a challenge to the power of the organized crime and government corruption.
Reporter is a veteran journalist and his colleagues in Semanario Zeta, an independent newspaper placed in Tijuana. Together they get into debt in publishing the news about its region even if the environment is the most dangerous in the world to exercise the investigation journalism. In Mexico, more than 40 journalists have been killed or disappeared since December 2006, when Felipe Calderón took over the Presidency of the country and began the government offensive against the drug cartels and organized crime. As the war intensifies the risk of the journalists increases. What will be lost the right to free expression?
